Las Vegas McCarran International Airport
In October of 2003, the first-ever multiple
self-service check-in system was launched at McCarran International
Airport (www.mccarran.com) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Travelers in
and out of Las Vegas McCarran International Airport enjoy traveling
quickly, efficiently, and easily with a revolutionary concept
in airports.
SpeedCheckSM provides travelers with self-service carry-on luggage
checking for their flights in and out of Las Vegas McCarran
International Airpot. They can print out their own boarding
passes at over 25 touch-screen interface kiosks throughout the
airport terminal. The thousands of convention delegates who
are brought to Las Vegas are able to use the same service at
the Las Vegas Convention Center prior to their departure.
Passengers appreciate the convenience of checking in with the
airlines; this has given the McCarran Airport high marks with
travelers. Future plans are being developed to enable baggage-tag
printouts for passengers with checked luggage; this will replace
the existing individual airline kiosks.
The SpeedCheckSM self-service check-in is currently available
at Las Vegas McCarran Airport among the following airlines;
additional airlines will be added to the system by the end of
2004.
* AirTran
* Alaska
* Aloha
* America West
* Continental
* Delta
* Midwest
* Northwest
* Song
* Southwest
* United; and
* U.S. Airways
