Las Vegas Existing Homes
Existing homes in Las Vegas continue
to rise in value as the population continues to grow. A good
majority of Las Vegas residents currently live in fairly new
homes since the big boom began within the last decade.
Las Vegas existing homes are spread throughout the
valley in various sections and are designated by certain identifiable
names. Areas such as Summerlin,
Henderson,
Green
Valley, Northwest, Sunrise
Mountain, Southwest, and North Las Vegas are just some
of the areas Las Vegas residents refer to.
A good percentage of the 8,000 people who
relocate to Las Vegas each month seek homes that they can
move into which has resulted into moving the Las Vegas resale
home market on a rapid pace. City highways and beltways can't
seem to catch up with the rapid growth of the housing developments
throughout the Las Vegas area and major highways run through
Las Vegas.
As Las Vegas existing homes continue to demonstrate
mature landscapes, beautifully developed parks, shopping centers,
and schools, a home that is only 5-10 years old is still considered
to be somewhat "new". The Southwestern motif is
common since the majority of homes are built with stucco and
Spanish tiled roofs. Various colors paint the desert environment
and provide easy maintenance.
Existing or "re-sale" Las Vegas
homes are in great demand because new homeowners don't usually
have to spend additional money on landscaping, window treatments,
and décor that newly constructed homes require upon
moving into a new Las Vegas home.
The pride of ownership and equity gain after
purchasing an existing Las Vegas home is determined by the
neighborhood in which the home is located. Schools are being
built at a rapid rate; in fact, 19 new schools are scheduled
to be built in 2004.
